at the coliseum. exciting. they have been on a roll. the as tied the rangers for the division lead last night. derek norris driving in a couple of runs in the 5th inning and we go to the sixth and the pride of petaluma jonny gomes says see ya! that's a solo shot. as win 3-1. they have come from 13 games behind to tie texas for the division lead. so here's how it sets up now. the as win this afternoon. they will win the west and get a best-of-five play-off series beginning on the weekend. if they lose, they are still in but it's a wild card game. that would mean a one-game play- off on friday. if they win they move on. if they lose, they're out. go as. the giants knocked the dodgers out of the play-offs in l.a. last night. great game, though. buster posey going deep for his 24th homer in an early giant lead. he should be the mvp. that held on to beat the dodgers then 4-3. they will play the season finale this afternoon in a game that doesn't mean much but anytime you beat the dodgers, that's a good thing. the cardinals got in because of that dodger loss. >>> play of the day comes from kansas c
